HUMAN RESOURCE PLANNING

Manpower planning is the process of forecasting the possible human resource demands of an organization and determining how the organization's existing human resource resources can be utilized to meet those demands. It is also largely responsible for determining a company's current plans and creating a strategic plan for the company's future possibilities (Careers360 , 2021). It is a never-ending process to ensure that the organization has the optimal resources accessible when needed, taking into account forthcoming future projects and the replacement of departing staff. Additionally known as Human Resource Planning (MBA Skool Team, 2021).

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGMENT AND HUMAN RESOURCE PLANNING

The difference between human resource planning and management is that planning is strategic and management is tactical. As an example, planning to eliminate overtime by establishing new procedures and then controlling employee work using these procedures to guarantee staff completes work inside normal hours (Careers360 , 2021).

 HUMAN RESOURCE PLANING PROCESS

According to (MBA Skool Team, 2021), a straightforward HR Planning process consists of the following four major steps

1.     Recognizing the current workforce

To evaluate the company's skill set, it is necessary to analyze the history, skills, credentials, and location of the entire workforce.

2.     Future Prediction

In response to fluctuating business requirements, companies must anticipate future trends and choose which employees are best suited to them.

3.     Staffing and selection

Accordance with the needs of the business, labor planning leads to a more thorough recruitment and selection process. This is influenced by the company's estimates and needs. Applicants with superior qualifications, skill sets, and experience are chosen to fulfill future needs.

4.     Employee instruction

Employees are trained to possess the most advanced skills, knowledge, and comprehension of current and future job requirements.

THE BENEFITS OF HUMAN RESOURCE PLANNING

Maintaining and recruiting employees with the technical and soft skills necessary to do their jobs well is made easier with the help of human resource planning. For managers, this means a greater ability to provide employees with the appropriate training and development (HAYES, 2022). Human resource planning can also affect a company's growth. By taking a proactive strategy to personnel acquisition and management, business leaders may cope effectively with eventualities like rapid market/competitive trend changes and development opportunities like diversification or expansion (Brown, 2022).

 CONCLUSION

Planning for human resources is a fundamental requirement for any business. It makes it simpler for companies to address employee shortages or difficulties before they become apparent. And with a comprehensive understanding of the technique, organizations are able to implement the most effective plan for assembling the most qualified employees conceivable.
